Jamdani Cutting Board

I have been inspired by heritage and tradition of jamdani. Jamdani is considered as one of the most beautiful revelations of artistic talents of weavers in Bangladesh. It is included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2013. Transmitted from generation to generation, the art of Jamdani weaving is a combination of creativity, imagination, and skills.

With great joy I am presenting my very own Jamdani engraved maple wood cutting board which I have designed. It took a lot of effort and time for me to make this jamdani design. This Jamdani board will bring in Bangladeshi tradition in our daily life that we can celebrate with pride.

Material:

This product is made of natural Canadian Maple hardwood.

How to use:

The engraved side is delicate. The engraved side is recommended to be used only as a serving board for appetizers or party shooters. Please do not use this side for cutting. The other side can be used for cutting purpose.

Care and Maintenance Instruction:

• Hand wash only

• Do not soak

• Do not dishwasher

• Allow to dry completely

• Treat with food approved oil occasionally

• If food residue stuck in the engraving, brush it off lightly

Notes:

• No engraved cutting board is identical.

• Due to the variation of wood, the engraving might get lighter or darker.

• Every board is ‘made to order’ and ‘handmade’.
